Elizabeth is also a photographer which made taking her portraits both exciting and a little intimidating. When we spoke about doing a trade of family portraits for each other, we also discussed taking some maternity portraits of her alone. After capturing portraits of Elizabeth with her husband and two adorable daughters, we walked the length of Narragansett Beach to the mouth of Narrow River, a favorite place of mine. As it turns out, Elizabeth grew up on Narrow River and has endless special memories of time spent on it’s shores and in it’s water. It seemed meant to be that her solo portraits would be taken on it’s banks. We timed her session for sunset, and were granted the most amazing colors in the sky. I simply love these images of Elizabeth at 8 months pregnant. She is beautiful, calm, excited to meet her new son, and proud of her pregnant body, as all expecting women should be. I felt like these portraits were/are a celebration of her current life and childhood history coming together and I felt so honored to get to take them for her.
I had a blast getting to spend time with another female photographer and mom, and getting to shoot a session while in my bathing suit! Thank you Elizabeth & family!
Can’t thank you enough for theses forever photos
Susan,
You did a beautiful job capturing this family. What a wonderful way to get ready for another child. They look excited and ready.
