When Sam & Stacy’s wedding day arrived – after a three-month long drought in Rhode Island – the arrival of a hurricane off the east coast made for lots of rain and crazy wind. Instead of letting it ruin their wedding plans, they shrugged their shoulders, battened down the hatches, brought in some beautiful tents with heaters, and enjoyed their wedding day to the fullest. I was amazed by how fully they kept gratitude and celebration in their day, and a sense of humor. And though it was very windy, it did not rain, and their guests, many whom had traveled in from California, were treated to an authentic and local clambake by Compton Clambakes, a giant game of connect four, great music and fantastic dancing into the night.
