Some days in New England are just made for weddings, and Ali & Jackson had one of those days; brilliant blue skies, wispy clouds and just a touch of crisp September air on the wind. The setting was Jackson’s family’s summer retreat, Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The couple chose to exchange their vows and celebrate their new marriage on the green at the gorgeous Misquamicut Club. Views of the Atlantic Ocean in the background, surrounded by friends and family the ceremony was beautiful. After taking photos with parents, we jumped into a golf cart and made our way over to the 11th hole with the wedding party. The view from the 11th hole is spectacular from a photographer’s perspective, but from a golfer’s perspective, it’s the optimal place for a clean drive to the next hole, even closer to the ocean. The new Mr. & Mrs. enjoyed hitting a few balls, as did several of their wedding party, letting off a little steam before heading back to enjoy the rest of the celebration with their guests under a giant tent filled with the music of Bob Hardwick and his big band, who came in from New York City to perform as a special treat for the bride’s mother. It was a beautiful wedding and we were thrilled to be a part of such a sweet couple’s wedding day!
Congratulations Ali & Jackson! Thank you again for asking me to capture your wedding day. Best wishes for a beautiful life together!
