Winter in Rhode Island has been tough this year. Cold temperatures,weekly of ice and snow storms and an annoying chest cold have kept me inside more than usual. I am a photographer that finds inspiration out in the world, in settings other than my own environment. I need to remember that switching-up my work habits and flexing outside of my comfort zone is something to be embraced from time to time. Playing with my studio set-up more, and photographing from a different approach can lead to beautiful results. Last week, I had the opportunity to capture some simple portraits for a talented, local young dancer, and it was just what I needed to kick-start my creativity and have me feeling inspired again.
