Watch Hill has always been one of my favorite places in Rhode Island. Until the recent spotlight placed on it due to it’s newest famous resident, Taylor Swift, it was a sleepy summer town on the southwestern most corner of our state. The historic “Flying Horses” carousel still runs next to the beach, and children still reach for the brass ring. At the top of the hill above the little town is the recently renovated Ocean House, an amazingly beautiful and picturesque Victorian seaside mansion that has wrap around porches for taking in the surrounding scenery and a path to the beach through beautifully landscaped grounds. It all made a perfect setting for Kaitlin and Dave’s early August wedding day, the date chosen by Kaitlin’s mom as it was the evening of a full moon – which turned out to be a dramatic “super moon.” The skies were bright blue with puffy clouds as the couple, both from New York, exchanged their vows at the Watch Hill Chapel and then lead guests across the street to the Ocean House to continue the celebration at a fun-filled reception. As the sun set and the super moon rose, Kaitlin and Dave danced their first dance as husband and wife. It was a fantastic evening!
Congratulations, Kaitlin & Dave! May you have a lifetime of wonderful adventures together. And thank you for asking me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day.
I love the way you captured the sky during the wedding. The bride & groom reading possible love notes from one another is very romantic.
A wedding and photographs befitting The Ocean House.
