On a gorgeous spring day in early May, Gordon & Debra officially began the next chapter of their lives surrounded by their children, grandchildren and close friends. Debra & Gordon chose Wakefield Baptist Church for their wedding ceremony because of Gordon’s family’s strong ties to the church. His grandmother devoted decades of her life playing the organ on Sundays and at special ceremonies. In addition to holding their ceremony here, the newlyweds chose to honor her memory by planting two beautiful, mature hydrangea bushes in the courtyard garden after their ceremony. The bushes were first used to beautifully decorate the alter for their vow exchange. Such a sweet gesture of selflessness and honor on their own special day, it really impressed and touched me. Their day was simple and beautiful, and a try joy to be a part of. After the ceremony the couple celebrated at The Towers House B&B in Narragansett. Mary Beth and her staff transformed the cozy B&B (which is filled with endless amounts of cool items – I could explore forever!) into an elegant wedding reception venue with character and charm.
Congratulations Gordon & Debra!
