On a perfect summer day in June, high school sweethearts, Kaleigh & Charles, exchanged their wedding vows on the back lawn of The Oceancliff Resort in Newport, Rhode Island.  Sailboats drifted by in the background of the ceremony, floating across the deep blue waters of Narragansett Bay as family and friends witnessed the couples’ ceremony and then celebrated the newlyweds in style. Oceancliff is a wedding venue that offers so many beautiful settings for photographs indoors and outside. After Kaleigh & Charles’ first look under the resort’s front archway, we took advantage of the architecture and landscape with amazing views for more photographs of the couple with their wedding party and family. The guests enjoyed a sun-filled cocktail reception on the back patio as the sun sank lower across the bay. When Mother Nature cooperates, I always take my wedding clients outside at sunset for a few additional images of them during “golden hour.” Thankfully, we had a beautiful, brilliant sunset for their photos, before heading back inside for dining and dancing. At the end of the evening, Charles’ talented uncle serenaded the couple with a guitar performance that was beautiful and meaningful. The entire celebration was beautiful, lighthearted and fun, and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
