I know it sounds corny, but lately, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. My photography business makes it possible for me to meet amazing people I would otherwise never have the opportunity to meet. They invite me into their lives for their weddings, when they are expecting babies, and then into their homes so I can photograph their infants and new families! It really means so much to me to be given that honor. That my creative vision is the one they choose to capture and document all these once in a lifetime moments feels like an amazing gift.

So you can understand how excited I was when one of my wedding couples from NYE 2011 – Jessica & Paul – invited me to their beautiful home in Boston to photograph their 18 week old son, Thomas. He is one of the most beautiful children I have ever met or photographed. So sweet and so well loved. And their apartment has such great character and light, it made our session even better. So, without further ado, I would like to introduce you to baby Thomas and his mom and dad.

Tummy Time!

Not only do I love everything about this photo – the colors, the way Jessica is looking at Paul, their sweet little Thomas asleep in his mommy’s arms, the composition and light – I also really wish I had an image like this of my husband and I with our son when he was a baby. I also now want a room with orange walls!
