The forecast for the evening of Amanda & Matt’s engagement session was “iffy” at best. We thought we’d be shooting under cloudy skies and dodging random showers and thunderstorms. Well, as you can see from the images below, we had only blue skies and brilliant sunlight, making the most beautiful images possible for this wonderful couple! Amanda had mentioned she wanted the coast of Newport for their session as their wedding will be in Portsmouth next Spring. Still on the water, but not the open ocean. The storm clouds stayed well north of us as we traveled along Ocean Road and one of my favorite locations, Brenton Point State Park. I have to give a huge shout out to Amanda for scaling the somewhat slippery rocks of the jetty in a white dress in order to get our first photos (below). In my opinion, it was well worth it! Though I promised her the only thing I would ask her to climb on her wedding day was some stairs 😉 We also caught a stunning sunset at Fort Adams on Narragansett Bay and a perfectly timed Schooner Madeleine sailing into view for the perfect New England touch.
I had a wonderful time with you, Amanda & Matt, and can’t wait for your wedding in 2021!
