I photograph senior portraits primarily in southern Rhode Island. We have plenty of gorgeous beaches with a variety of coastlines and beautiful settings which I love. But during Charlotte’s session, I felt like we were shooting somewhere tropical, like Hawaii or St. John.  I think it was her coral-pink dress juxtaposed against the lush greenery in the sand dunes. It really was the perfect combination for this soon-to-be-senior in high school.

I always ask my clients if they have a location in mind for their session, and Charlotte knew just the place.  A little off the beaten path, but still a local favorite on the water.  We talked about the schools that she’s interested in applying to for college, sports she has played, and summer life in little Rhody.  I know sometimes I ask my seniors to try poses that seem like they might not be flattering, but she was an extremely cooperative client and, in my humble opinion, we got some truly beautiful portraits of this lovely beach girl!
