Every winter, my son and I travel to Florida to visit with my parents who are now happily living the snow bird life of retired New Englanders. While they live just north of Orlando, one of my very best friends in the world lives with her family on the Florida panhandle in Ft. Walton Beach. They usually make the six hour drive to see us, so this year my parents, son and I road tripped our way to Ft. Walton for some time with our friends and to explore new areas. On one of our day trips, our friends took us to Seaside, Florida and I immediately new I had discovered a place I had to come back to and spend more time exploring! It is an amazing town and I can easily see myself spending some winter months there.
My little muse, my niece and part-time mermaid, Maura. She is also an amazing dancer.

My Mom & Dad in Seaside! Aren’t they the cutest? Happily married 45 years and counting. The best any child could ask for.
The beautiful Liles Family in Seaside, Florida. I adore this family!
My son Forrest and I. I would say he’ll be taller than me by this time next year. I have asked him repeatedly to stop growing up, but he refuses! 🙂
My son and my Dad relaxing and chatting. This image just melts my heart.
