The perfect autumn weather of September 2013 continued and graced Rachel & John’s gorgeous Jamestown wedding day. The ceremony & reception took place at a private residence which has the most gorgeous grounds – meadows, stone walls, a rustic old gate, sweeping lawn, an in-ground pool, and country road all added to the perfect “coastal rustic” feeling of the setting. Guests mingled pre-ceremony, sipping champagne while music from Rachel’s father’s antique victrola played recordings by Caruso in the background. As the sun set, the couple exchanged their vows on the lawn. They quietly whispered private vows to each other as their wedding bands were passed throughout the crowd of family & friends that had gathered to celebrate their marriage, each person giving the rings a blessing before passing them on. It all culminated in a celebration under the stars as the poolside cocktail reception flowed into the dinner and reception in the tent filled with chandeliers and candles. Very warm, elegant and romantic and exactly what Rachel and John had envisioned as their wedding.
Rachel & John didn’t want to see each other until the actual ceremony, so we staged a “first look” of the entire wedding party that kept the couple from actually seeing each other, but allowed me to photograph them together before the ceremony. I loved this idea and the deck and porch of the home were perfect for this shot.
I love this image of John “photo bombing” his new family!
Cowboy, take me away….
Congratulations Rachel & John! Thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful wedding day and may all your years be happy & healthy!
