From the moment I met Dan & Jill for their engagement session, we had such an easy rapport. I knew that photographing their wedding would be a joy – and it was! They are both naturals in front of the camera. Probably because their love for each other is so obvious in all the little touches, gestures, smiles they give each other. We began their wedding day at The Hyatt on Goat Island for getting ready photos and then for the first look moment near the picturesque lighthouse and Newport Bridge. After that the couple joined their wedding party for some photographs and we were off to the iconic “Forty Steps” section of Newport’s famous Cliffwalk. Their ceremony was held at Salve Regina Chapel, an airy, open chapel with beautiful light and an intimate feel since the seating is in a horseshoe shape around the bride and groom. After Jill & Dan were officially declared husband and wife, we departed for their reception at Rosecliff Mansion. We took full advantage of the amazing exterior and interior architecture as well as grounds for more beautiful photos with wedding party and private portraits of the newlyweds. Once everyone had a Del’s (or spiked Del’s, which I thought was genius!) everyone headed inside to dance the night away.
Congratulations Daniel & Jill. Thank you again for giving me the honor of capturing your wedding day for you
and the pleasure of getting to know you both!
